Thanks for dropping by... or stumbling by... or for getting totally lost, whatever. The short story is I'm just a guy who's decided it's time to sell off his extensive LP collection.
The extended version of that story is I plan auction off and/or take offers on my collection either individually, in lots, or as a whole (if you've got money to burn and want an instant collection). The idea is to to list serveral albums a week on eBay but I won’t really know what kind of pace I will be able to keep until I really get knee deep in to it (I do hold a day-job and have two small children so it might get tough at times). The alternate goal of this blog is to hopefully expose you to some really good music. I know it seems awfully lofty of me but perhaps I can turn some old timers (like me) onto some great new indie rock and some of you young folks onto some classics. We’ll see.
I’ll be posting my newer albums first (stuff from the ‘90s and 00’s) and will work my way back to the older stuff in my collection (Elvis, Little Richard, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry Etc.). Occasionally, when it makes sense, I may auction an artist or sub-genre as a multi LP lot in which case I’ll do a write-up on the respective artist or sub-genre.

I am liquidating my entire collection of LPs – over 2,500 albums accumulated over the last forty years. Since I am a solo act with a day job, family responsibilities, and have so many records to list, I suggest you check back often as it will probably take me several months to list everything. Seriously. It’s going to take me a long time.

All records are original pressings unless otherwise noted and have been stored vertically on shelves since they’ve been in my possession. The collection spans the last five decades and consists of many genres. Lots of rarities, some promos, many landmark recordings. I grade everything conservatively using the visual Goldmine standards (I invite you to check my past feedback). All photos posted are of the actual item being offered.

I will be posting my newer vinyl first, (stuff pressed in the ‘90s and ‘00s) and will work my way backwards to the beginning of time (artists like Elvis, Little Richard, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, and the like will be the last to go). Occasionally, when it makes sense, I will auction an entire artist collection or sub-genre as a multi-LP lot in hopes of minimizing the work involved to list and ship such a vast collection. And maybe to sweeten the pot for you a little, too.

All auctions will start at $1.99 with no reserve except for records I purchased new over the past 10 or 12 years. In those cases, I will start the bidding at the retail price I paid for it (usually less than $15 but occasionally as much as $30) - seems fair to me.
mail
I ship once a week, typically on Tuesdays, and mail every item that has been paid for by the end of the previous Sunday. Media mail with professional packaging is $3.99. Additional LPs are $1.50 domestic so, please check my other auctions. I remove the record from the sleeve when shipping and include a poly or paper sleeve for protection. Important - media mail may take up to two weeks for delivery! I will ship priority US mail upon request. Please contact me for a quote. Please contact me for quotes on international shipping. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding. International shipping via first class can take a month or more from the shipping date - I have no control over shipping time.
*IMPORTANT* As of this writing it is rumored that the USPS will be increasing its rates yet again! Since I have no idea if and when this will actually happen, I reserve the right to adjust my shipping charges in accordance with any rate changes that the USPS imposes. This increase, if imposed, will take effect concurrently with any USPS increases. Trust me, I won't gouge you. I'll keep in line with current shipping charges, enough to cover my supplies and actual shipping costs.
